Some of your primary responsibilities include: Perform targeted rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution. Clean, triage, troubleshoot, repair and deliver specified medical devices and equipment. Complete performance verification and preventative maintenance. Document all work functions in electronic database(s). Assist with, and/or lead, special projects including new equipment deployment.This position is within our Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute (HVTI). This unit handles more than 300 outpatients and has 22-30 inpatient beds. In this role, you will: Interacting with patients who have a heart pump (left ventricular assist device or Impella temporary pump). Work closely with OR and profusion staff to ensure those teams have the pumps needed. Order equipment for discharged patients and ensure they know how to operate the device while at home.Order all equipment in the vendor management system.Manage any recalled equipment.The ideal future caregiver is someone who: Is independent and self-motivated. Has computer skills and can work with Microsoft Office and database management tools. Enjoys working on their feet. Demonstrates a strong work ethic. Has experience with Epic, Excel and vendor management sites.
