As a Project Manager/Project Scheduler you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned project.You will serve as a liaison between project managers and functional managers.You will develop and maintain summary level schedule (Gantt) reports, milestone charts, and other program management tools used to support critical path analysis, near term tasks, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances.You will follow schedule version control processes, policies, and procedures.You will work in collaboration with project managers to drive efficiency in project execution and accuracy in project reporting.You will schedule estimating and updating for new work and remaining work.You will identify major milestones, decision points, project lifecycle and other project events.You will troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems.You will maintain accurate records/paperwork.You will facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews.You will be willing to work outside of normal business hours as required to meet deadlines.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of ScienceRequired Experience: 5+ years of related experienceSecurity Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCIRequired Skills and Abilities:Excellent Problem Resolution skillsGreat team and client interaction skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSkilled in gathering, analyzing, documenting and briefing informationAbility to effectively convey requirements, concerns and capabilities to all levels of management in a clear and concise mannerPreferred Skills:Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationGood understanding of Earned Value MethodologyLocation: On Customer Site in Newington, VAUS Citizenship Required due to TS/SCI clearance requirementGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:401K with company matchComprehensive health and wellness packagesInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your careerProfessional growth opportunities including paid education and certificationsCutting-edge technology you can learn from and use to make an impact on the world around you.Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidaysNot sure this job's the one for you? This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
