Job Description
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Division Manager directs all of the operations of the Transfer Station within Company guidelines and State Environmental Quality Rules and Regulations; and supervises the operators, laborers and all other personnel assigned to the transfer station. This position will require you to work shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, as necessary by the department, and during inclement weather.
Supervises all Transfer Station operators, independent contractors, laborers, and other assigned personnel.
Maintains good contact with Vice President and provides feedback on operations.
Supervises and ensures that all the required reports and paperwork are completely and correctly filed out and submitted.
Checks cleanliness of Transfer Station areas.
Supervises and inspects daily operations of the Transfer Station including heavy equipment, transfer trailers, to ensure that operations at the Transfer Station are performed as smoothly and safely as is reasonably possible.
Identifies, schedules, and
performs/supervises
the maintenance activities at the Transfer Station. These activities include removal, replacing of hydraulic hoses, remove and replace hydraulic cylinders, perform other maintenance as required.
Investigates and documents accidents and property damage.
Conducts and documents safety instructional meetings with personnel.
Responds to after-hours calls and fills in for other employees as assigned.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of solid waste experience and two years supervisory work experience.
