The Minecraft team is looking for a Product Manager II to join the Bedrock Platform Gameplay Systems Team; we build the engine and systems that power a diverse set of Minecraft gaming experiences over a dozen platforms in support of multiple internal partners and customer segments. This role will be accountable for planning, production, and delivery of core game engine features. This role will manage and report on multiple projects aligning to the right customer release vehicle, and will contribute to the patterns, artifacts, and rhythm of the broader team including building and managing to product roadmaps. We are seeking a Product Manager II with technical background and experience partnering with teams of engineers, quality assurance, and designers through the full feature lifecycle. Your role will be to collaborate across the organization, understand and communicate requirements and information efficiently and effectively, drive for clarity across the opportunity space to solutions, develop relationships that lead to efficient problem solving, and share the vision and outcomes to all the needed areas of the business, including senior leadership. The ability to track and deliver value to multiple customer release activities simultaneously will be key. In the end, it’s the people of Mojang Studios that make this place truly special. Partner with team leadership to establish and communicate product opportunities and clear, measurable goals for your team. Work across Mojang Studios with key stakeholders to track technology initiatives, interpret requirements, and build well-scoped and incremental plans that feed our technology roadmap. Ensure that product roadmaps clarify all needed aspects of direction, discovery, and scoping, to support stakeholder buy in and successful partnership with Engineering leads to deliver through all phases of development including investigation, execution, quality assurance, and release. Define and own product/feature reporting and maintain stakeholder confidence in deliverables. Collaborate across teams, resolving issues regardless of team boundaries, to uncover and mitigate risks and deliver excellent experiences for Minecraft players.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience.

2+ years experience working in cross-functional and/or cross-team projects using both Office Suite as well as project management software (Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, Hansoft, Asana etc.). Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Experience in defining the scope expectations in complex, ambiguous environment. Experience working directly with engineering, design, and quality disciplines. Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
