Support in designing implementing and measuring our IT initiatives as it relates to projects and business solutions for all technology related projects at the college.
Responsible for the coordination, monitoring and reporting of technology projects including discovery, design, development and implementation on all campuses for the stakeholders and IT professionals.
Guides and mentors IT stakeholders in order to create, perform, manage, and optimize enterprise-wide IT services or operational processes. Monitors the project life cycle from beginning to end and communicates frequently with executive stakeholders to create trust and transparency between IT and functional units. Applies industry accepted methodologies to ensure adherence to standards and requirements and to provide stakeholders with continual reports on progress and performance. This position reports to the Director of Project Management and Business Solutions.

Essential Functions:
Mentors and guides IT projects through the use of project management tools and techniques in order to avoid project delays and to resolve such issues as they arise.
Develops and maintains a robust system and methods for the reliable delivery of projects.
Works with stakeholders for evaluation of project scope and to determine priority within an established project schedule.
Fosters support for project management methodology throughout the community, including all functional areas in the college.
Utilizes a review process that evaluates project success criteria after go-live in order to assure full value capture and continuous improvement opportunities.
Sets criteria for determination of project priority and works with stakeholders to monitor and report on progress.
Assists with project completion where possible.
Offers project management training to stakeholders.
Develops or employs methods for tracking and reporting on the work done by IT.
Builds relationships through communication that lead to widespread adoption of established systems, practices, and outcomes by stakeholders.
Additional Duties:
Assists in the preparation of the college’s Master technology Plan.
Assists in the completion of the technology portion of capital projects.
Performs related tasks as required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, information management, computer science or related field is required.
Minimum three years of experience leading and/or developing projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with automated project management tools.
Skilled in the use of Word, Excel, and Power Point
Higher education background
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
Listens attentively and tailor communication based on the audience and present a professional image in all communications
Effective leadership ability and customer service skills
Project Management experience using project methodology
Experience using process improvement methodology (i.e. LEAN Six Sigma)
Five or more years of experience leading and/or developing projects
Three or more years of project management experience using project management methodology
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Three or more years of higher education ERP experience
Six Sigma certification
Address stakeholders on the college’s technology projects, such as the President’s Council and the Board of Trustees
Plan operationally for up to three years in advance
Provide recommendation to others for producing effective business outcomes on a consistent basis
Use creativity and innovation to meet the daily demands of campus technology needs within the guidance of industry guidelines.
Analyze processes and be effective with organizing people and activities, separating and combining tasks into efficient work flows
Recognize what to measure and the opportunities for synergy and integration
Simplify complex processes and maximize resources
Provide guidance and contribute to the achievement of the overall college goal, working closely with all administrative levels of the college
Share wins and successes, foster strong team dynamics and empower teams to face issues and develop solutions.
Manage cost center of $5 thousand and multiple projects up to $2 million

Physical Requirements :
The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Most of the time is spent in an office environment.
Duties include meetings with college administrators, faculty, staff, state officials and local officials
