The Opportunity
The role of Programs Manager is extremely important to the YJP Team at large. The Programs Manager is in charge of YJP's Programs Team and programming calendar. The Programs Manager leads a team of Associates and collaborates with the Membership Manager and Marketing Associate. This role reports directly to the Managing Director of Community. The Programs Manager will have the unique opportunity to structure the program calendar and content for all of YJP's industries while continuously conceiving of and implementing new programs to attract new members and engage current members. The Programs Manager will work on a hybrid work schedule having two in-office days per week. The Programs Manager will also attend in-person events in the evenings as needed. YJP's office and events are located in Manhattan.
What You Will Do
Lead, manage, and hold accountable the members of the Programs Team
Manage the building and execution of a consistent, high-quality program calendar for all YJP industries according to budget goals and content strategy
Ensure that program topics are valuable, interesting to members, and not repetitive
Serve as part of the hiring committee for all Programs Team roles
Train all new members of the Programs Team
Individually manage the programming of assigned industry (includes confirming speakers, building the attendee list, planning the content, etc)
Conceive of new programs in collaboration with the Managing Director - Community and direct their implementation
Collaborate with the Development Department to ensure that program quality will achieve sponsorship/donor revenue goals
Lead programs team to build long-term, value-based donor and member relationships that enable achievement of revenue goals
Liaise with the Marketing Associate to develop email campaigns, social media posts, and content surrounding the events
As needed, research and reach out to prospective mentors to support program development
Oversee mentor/event confirmation and post-event follow up processes
Ensure all events are properly staffed
Oversee all YJP-related event coordination in collaboration with the Event Coordinator and make sure the experience at all events is of the highest quality
Manage programming for social programs and galas
Develop an understanding of and pursue continued learning of current and new industries that YJP is providing programming for
Collaborate with the Membership Department to develop member engagement opportunities

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a Liberal Arts focuse
Previous experience in Programming, Events, and/or Non-Profit Organization
3+ years of customer-facing experience
1+ years of managing direct reports
Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and traditions and/or willingness to learn
