Associate Director, Supply Chain Planning & Systems

reporting into the Executive Director of Supply Chain who is responsible for assisting the preparation for our first commercial program, pipeline activities, and supporting programming which will require proper planning support to reduce risk, prevent material ruptures and avoid costly delays. The Associate Director, Planning and Systems will be accountable for developing and managing robust spend & trend analytics, metrics and KPIs needed to optimize Supply Chain strategy and performance. Further, this individual will oversee the implementation, execution, and reporting for the validated system requirements for FDA compliance. This position will be onsite in our Germantown, Maryland facility. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Mid to long term Demand/ Supply plan and 12 months production plan aligned with IPT’s (Integrated Process Teams), Technical Operations, Maintenance, Quality, including availability of materials, scenario planning and contributing to financial forecasting and budget process. Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and disciplined planning of materials and capacity to meet current and future needs of the business Internal Manufacturing, CMDO and Distribution planning Develop and report supply chain metrics for local and global reporting and creating visual information. Authoring and executing inventory management strategy in alignment with the overall Supply Chain strategy Works closely with IT to implement an ERP system to drive performance management tools across the Materials Management Project manage IT-related initiatives and act as the accountable clinical supply business lead to ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and budget Utilize ERP expertise to optimize and streamline supply chain processes Manage and analyze data related to material planning, ensuring timely availability of required materials Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows Prioritize system enhancement and new capability requests to ensure the appropriate work is taken forward to deliver the most value to the business Functional ownership and responsibility of technology solutions for the end to end make to order supply chain processes to provide personalized Gene and Cell Therapy treatment to patients worldwide Build KPI program for performance and risk management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or relevant Pharmaceutical Science Master’s degree in supply chain management preferred Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial role’s Strong experience in IT Governance and change control process for all system changes in an FDA regulated environment Experience in design and implementing the end-to-end logistics solution with internal and external partners Experience in a Cell or Gene Therapy preferred DESIRED KEY COMPETENCIES: Ability to analyze and interpret data for use in decision-making and actions in support of business strategy Strong organization and time management skills, an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent attention to detail. Ability to anticipate and solve problems while analyzing complex issues and environments. Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees in various communication mediums. Ability to understand and execute on the company’s mission and values. Strong personal leadership and self-direction.
