The Role:
Our client is currently looking for an experienced Project Lead & Senior Data Analytics Consultant to join our Middle Markets Data & Analytics team based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. While this position will be based out of our Schaumburg Headquarters, we are offering the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. You will collaborate with your manager to set a schedule that supports you, your customers, and the team.
The Project Lead & Senior Data Analytics Consultant role is critical to the success of the Middle Market organization in 2022 and beyond. This impactful role requires a blend of data analytics and commercial insurance business knowledge as this role will be expected to manage and lead projects with 2-3 Data & Analytics staff members as well as manage Middle Market stakeholders.
The Project Lead & Senior Data Analytics Consultant is also responsible for:
Managing projects and assigning work
Managing expectations of Middle Market shareholders
Driving the overall understanding how technology helps to drive the business
Using appropriate modeling techniques to address business needs
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the modeling process
Reviewing programs to ensure they conform to quality standards
Communicating models to non-technical audiences outside of department
Continuously deepen knowledge of insurance industry practices across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Statistical and/or Predictive Analytics area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Statistical and/or Predictive Analytics area
OR
Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Statistical and/or Predictive Analytics area
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Mathematics/Statistics or Information Technology
Experience applying statistical and predictive modeling analytics techniques such as machine learning, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, regression, and neural networks to inform business decisions
Experience in insurance-specific predictive analytics
Experience sharing insights and recommendations to audiences with varying levels of analytic understanding
Advanced analytical and business problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skill.
