ReDiscover is seeking a Team Leader to add to our Women & Children Program!

ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve. WHAT WE DO

The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.

At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Direct supervisory responsibilities including supervision of assigned department staff; based on the structure of the program, this could be exempt employees, non-exempt employees, or a combination of both.
  • Significant cooperation with internal sources (administration, program managers, team leaders, etc...) and external sources (police, courts, managed care companies and all other referral sources), to ensure that the services provided are of the highest quality, accessible in a timely fashion, and produce positive outcomes for those we serve.
  • Provides feedback and reports to appropriate management staff and, as appropriate, to funding sources.
  • Actively participate in leadership meetings.
  • Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
  • Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Team Leader. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:
  • Required to work a 40-hour work week, (10-hour days - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - 10:00am to 9:00pm, with 1-hour lunch.)
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, psychiatric nursing, counseling, or other related mental health fields would qualify for licensure in the State of Missouri.
  • Candidates with an Bachelor's Degree in a Social Science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health) with 3 years of experience would be considered.
  • Licensed in the state of Missouri as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker or as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor preferred.
  • Candidates not having an active clinical or provisional license must be certified or registered as a Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC) or Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC) by the Missouri Credentialing Board.
  • Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
  • The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.).
  • Experience in a mental health or substance abuse setting and/or with clients who have co-occurring mental health disorders is preferred.
  • Understanding the function of nonprofits, specifically within behavioral healthcare is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as G-Suite.
  • Acts with integrity by observing ReDiscover policy/procedures, accreditation standards, laws, and ethics.
  • Self-Driven individual with a customer service focus.
  • Team-Oriented and skilled in collaborating with others.
