Senior Construction Project Manager - Military veterans preferred

I am currently hiring for a Senior Project Manager position with a general contractor located in the western suburbs of Chicago. This role will be overseeing multiple projects in the medical space, typically $5-$15M in scope per project. As the firm grows, this role will move into leadership and operations as well. The firm offers a strong benefits package along with an excellent base salary package. There is minimal travel associated with the position, about 3-4 days per month. The ideal start date will be within the month of May or June.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee completion of projects
• Develop plan of action including schedule, resources and work plan
• Assess risks and establish contingency plans
• Communicate with clients from early design stages of the build process
• Handle project hurdles in a timely fashion with effective resolutions
• Maintain communication with the field team and understand the scheduling, financials, and any change orders coming from the job site
• Lead OAC meetings during all phases of construction
• Assist in mentoring and developing new talent to the business (APMs, PEs, etc)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in project management or relevant fields
• Ground up construction experience from $5-$15M
• Medical building experience is a plus
• Procore experience
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working with a team
