Description:

The Project Manager of Operational Excellence at Loyola University Medical Center plans, manages, and oversees development and implementation phases and processes of the project management life cycle. They will manage medium to large scope projects across the enterprise Implementing operational excellence/OpEx principles (primarily Lean Six Sigma). The Project Manager will help shape the LUHS' future as an industry leader in delivering exceptional care, treating the whole person, in the most efficient way possible.

They will collaborate with sponsors and organizational leaders to implement OpEx projects, programs and specific tools towards the creation of a continuous improvement culture. The Project Manager of Operational Excellence will teach basic OpEx tenets and tools to non-OpEx practitioner work-team members, may assist with formal OpExpert and OpExplorer training courses. They will provide problem solving support, internal consultation on OpEx matters and process redesign service to internal clientele of all levels.

This position reports to the CFO.

What's required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience; 6-10 years preferred.
  • 5 or more years of OpEx experience, Advanced TRIZ or Theory of Constraint certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt required.
  • Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred (must be Lean Six Sigma not just Six Sigma)
  • 1-2 years of managerial experience preferred, but not required.
