Alternative Delivery Project Business Manager Dallas , Texas **What We're Looking For**

The Alternative Delivery Project Business Manager is responsible for effectively and proactively establishing, maintaining, and reporting on cost controls and schedules for projects. This position plans and establishes cost and schedule work breakdown structures and metrics, collects performance data (installed qualities, expended labor hours and other progress measurements), tracks data, analyzes earned value, productivity and risk analysis, and reports out findings. The Alternative Delivery Project Business Manager champions updating and maintaining the project controls system and document controls to ensure documents are filed appropriately and work processes are used according to project procedures.

Primary Focus Will Include:

* Manage contracting, negotiations, risk, change management and financial aspects of large alternative delivery projects.

* Work as an owners representative within a large aviation PM/CM program focused on terminal spaces and other vertical structures and buildings.

* This role will be on location full time with the client.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

* Alternative delivery experience is a plus!

* Master's degree in Business, Engineering

* PMI Certification, Other Contracting/Project Management Certifications

* Significant knowledge of Project Controls/Project Management Processes & A/E Industry

* Knowledge of Accounting/Financial Principles and Practices

* Good communication skills (written and verbal)

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

* Strong financial acumen and analytical abilities

* Leadership Skills (works well independently and in team environment, able to direct/manage others effectively, work with all levels of management, independent decision-making abilities)

* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

**What You'll Need**

Essential Responsibilities:

* Develops cost control/scheduling and the Project Management Plan for the project or program.

* Assists in or directs the preparation of specialty schedules, project labor forecasts, and cash flows.

* Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the baseline estimate and schedule and communicates reasons for variances to relevant management entities. Identifies trends and deviations and recommends corrective courses of action. Recommends solutions or recovery plans for schedule/cost impacts or delays.

* Supervises the Document Control efforts of the project including the administration, filing, and archiving of engineering, procurement, and construction documents, reports, deliverables, invoices, and other project policies and procedures. This effort includes electronic sharing of documents between the HNTB Project Wise and Share-point systems and the client Document Control system.

* Supervises the Cost Engineering efforts of the project to include preparation of cost report templates and monthly Cost and Change Management report deliverables.

* Supervises the Scheduling efforts for the project to include the preparation and analysis of schedule baseline, progress schedules, specialty schedules, schedule analysis and integration of Earned Value Management system and project progress reporting.

* Prepares DPM Design or PM for internal and external meetings providing backup documentation, data analysis,and reports to assist in the management of the project and dissemination of information/reports/deliverables to the PM, client, and stakeholders. Support the task leads in managing their effort in a similar manner.

* Prepares, edits, and publishes reports in consistent, accurate and timely manner that reflect the current status of the project in formats acceptable to the client and stakeholders.

* Creates, edits and publishes guidelines, manuals, and documents for use by Project staff including the Project Management Plan, Project Controls Manual, and Monthly Project Progress Reports.

* Manages the implementation of project controls systems necessary to support the project in the manner deemed appropriate by HNTB and the client.

* Leverages expertise from EDT staff to serve as a subject matter expert on all areas related to Document Controls, Cost/budget management, Scheduling and Earned Value Management activities.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Science, Finance or Business

* 5 years Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) or Architecture & Engineering (A&E) project controls experience including scheduling, cost/budget control, and document control
