We are looking for a product leader to drive the vision, build, deploy and manage capabilities with speed and at scale. This role will include collaborating with business, technology and enterprise stakeholders to develop a digital product roadmap, identify talent to execute, and measure impact, adoption and engagement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering digital capabilities in financial services along with strong commercial acumen.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the creation of world-class digital products, with a focus on supporting Northern Trust Wealth Management and other intermediary clients, to meet the growing needs of the business. Responsibilities include: Lead the development of a multi-year digital roadmap for direct indexing and related capabilities with inputs from sales, marketing, portfolio management, data, operations and technology to support business strategy. Maintain quarterly/annual roadmaps with north star of delivering continuous business value and measuring outcomes such as revenue generation, cost optimization, improved customer experience. Engage with internal and external clients for solutioning, incorporating their feedback and competitive and market intelligence into the design of product features and roadmap. Introduce and embed product culture by initiating product roadshows, launches, iterative product demos, etc. Drive adoption of direct indexing products by articulating the distinct value proposition and leverage metrics to drive engagement, adoption, customer satisfaction and feedback loop to inform product roadmap. Collaborate closely with external vendors and NTAM technology teams to prioritize work and rapidly execute; participate in key agile ceremonies. Collaborate with data office to ensure products adhere to enterprise data governance standards. Drive awareness of product management best practices across NTAM. Collaborate with external vendors, enterprise and business technology and data teams to build products using a scalable, resilient, available, and flexible NTAM data and information architecture that responds to business’ needs, and enable its efficient, disciplined, and successful execution. Stay up to date on emerging and evolving end user usage models and requirements in Digital Product Management. Develop and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of product spend and ensure investments in systems and process enhancements deliver value.

Necessary Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of intermediary and financial advisor industry and Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) with in-depth expertise with Direct Indexing/ Tax Advantaged Accounts. Expertise and passion for digital product development, management and commercialization. Team player with strong listening and collaboration skills, with the ability to pivot as new information emerges. Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and complexity in a non-hierarchical environment to deliver impact. Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and mobilize teams and resources to drive successful product development and engagement. Strong consultative skills ranging from gathering market and competitor insights, problem solving, analytics, strategy development, influencing, facilitation, managing conflicts, and consensus building. Dynamic relationship building and partnership skills; a strong collaborator with experience leading initiatives across multiple groups and stakeholders. Expertise in crafting and influencing executives and enterprise on digital product spend by crafting compelling, easy to understand business cases. Experience in hiring, developing and building high-performing product management teams. Strong negotiation and vendor management experience. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively present to and persuade executive audiences using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. Strong situational awareness and decision-making capabilities. Thorough understanding of Scrum and Agile development practices adopted by technology. Experience in creating client journeys, UX/UI experience and using concepts such as Lean Canvas to develop and sell the product proposition. Possess a broad set of working skills and knowledge across infrastructure, software systems and solutions development.

Necessary Experience and Education: Highly motivated and experienced senior leader with 7- 10 years of experience in building and scaling digital product organizations in investment or wealth management environments; prefer 15 - 20+ years of overall work experience. Experience with building digital products for wealth financial advisors; ideal candidate will have experience with delivering Direct Indexing and SMAs leveraging scalable technology. Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering successful digital products in fast-growing and matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to manage digital products as a business. Strong understanding of platform architecture, cloud, data and AI. Bachelor's in engineering, computer science, or equivalent career experience is required. MBA or CFA is a plus but not required.
