Job Description
Our client in Southern CT, an investor owned utility company, has a need for a Sr Project Manager to support multiple in-flight projects. The primary effort is an Oracle migration effort moving to cloud based Customer Care and Billing. This is a contract to hire role working for an awesome manager with a truly collaborative team.
This is a Hybrid position with minimum 3 days a week in Middletown, CT.
Responsibilities:
•The Sr. Project Manager must have the ability to lead complex business projects that require coordinating cross-functional internal and external teams/users.
•Must be capable of leading simultaneous projects at varying stages of completion
•Manage projects in accordance with a developing Program Management Office (PMO) Project Methodology.
•Develop and manage project plans to ensure task execution and dependency coordination, and to anticipate and proactively address potential schedule and resource risks.
•Develop and manage project budgets to ensure accurate and timely expense reporting, and to anticipate and proactively address budget over / under spend.
•Manage change control process to ensure conscious scope, schedule, and cost decision-making, and to ensure timely maintenance and communication of changes to business requirements, technical specifications, test plans, project plans, budgets, resource plans and other project artifacts.
•Identify, track and see issues through to resolution.
•Develop, track and implement controls to manage project and organizational risk.
•Communicate project status to key stakeholders.
•Document and communicate meeting minutes and key decisions.
•Coordinate and manage vendor relationship(s) through project implementation.
•Develop, distribute and gather completed post implementation project surveys, review lessons learned with project team.

Required Skills:
•7+ consecutive years as a Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years managing large projects in a business organization.
•7+ years' experience managing increasingly complex business and/or technology projects required.
•Experience with Oracle CC&B a real plus
•bility to identify and decompose complex business problems and develop recommendations.
•Experience managing multiple vendors.
•Microsoft Project proficiency required; specifically, project plan development, management and reporting.
•Stellar communication skills

Education:
•BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
