Essential Functions

This position is responsible for the successful completion of Information Technology (IT) projects. The project lifecycle must be followed to facilitate project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and project closure. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining project artifacts, such as: charter, schedule, risk register, status reporting, project acceptance criteria, and lessons learned. Requirements identification, issues management, and solution validation are also mandatory skills. This position will manage both business-facing and internal JIS projects. Based on workload capacity, additional ad-hoc IT projects will be assigned as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

Five (5) years of professional experience in establishing project scope, creating project schedules, monitoring budgets, assessing project risks, creating business process automation, system development, conducting data quality analyses, or configuring and implementing processes.

Licenses And Certifications

PMP and ITIL - preferred

Note

Professional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge and ability to utilize standards and guidelines relative to SDLC.

Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Knowledge and ability to utilize standards and guidelines relative to SDLC.

Skill in managing complex IT projects (e.g., system migration, data conversions, implementations, software development, third party implementations).

Skill in organization and effectively tracking multiple projects, requirements, action items, and following through to task closure.

Skill in business process analysis.

Skill in detail-oriented competences.

Skill in data review and data migration.

Skill in oral and written communication.

Ability to work in a matrixed organization to align resources toward project deliverables.

Ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.

Ability to work on multiple projects and objectives.

PMP certification preferred.
