About the Role Our Site Manager- Operations at Kwinana is responsible for managing all aspects of safe and effective fuel terminal operations, including responsibilities for managing the movements of products from receiving product, arranging storage and pipeline transfers. The operations team is responsible for overseeing the DCS as product movement is managed centrally via the DCS system. (Distributed Control System).The role involves people management and development, supervision of day-to-day operational activities, and management level reporting. A key component of this role is working closely with direct reports and at times being hands-on and physically involved in day-to-day duties. You will collaborate effectively with the other Site Managers (Product Planning, Shipping and Facilities) at the Terminal to collectively deliver the most efficient use of resources and collaboration across the entire site. The Site Manager will also manage HSSEQ standards by initiating programs, monitoring HSE performance and responding to incidents in accordance with the Terminal Emergency Response Plan and ATOM Incident Response procedures This role will help ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner with ongoing focus and regard to HSSE, reliability, efficiency, cost, stakeholder relationships, and customer service. About You You will have experience in a management or supervisor role requiring a performance based mentality, ideally in high risk industries (oil & gas, mining, etc.) and with duties involving distribution, planning and supply. Prior exposure or experience in a DCS would be highly sought after for this role. You will require a strong team-playing attitude with the ability to problem solve, be solutions focused and have a great communication skills. You will possess a willingness to learn new things, having great time management and organisational skills. An eye for continuous improvement is a big plus, as is an ability to use standard MS Office software (Outlook, Word and Excel). The site operates on a 24/7 rotating roster so some degree of flexibility is required to effectively manage the operations and teams working under this operating model.
