Job DescriptionWe're searching for a Market Access & Analysis Pharmacist, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you will be responsible for completing necessary functions to increase patient access to Specialty Pharmacy services by expansion of the Specialty Pharmacy medication list. This position will establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and payors to gain access to new medication(s). Manage and maintain the Specialty Pharmacy medication list by adding medication(s), deleting medication(s) and completing regular audits to identify discrepancies. Additionally, this role will develop implementation strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to prepare for medication addition(s). Other areas of responsibility include staying abreast of the specialty medication pipeline forecast to prepare for new medication launches, communicating with physicians and providers medication list modifications, collecting data for required Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reporting, and reviewing Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) reports on specialty medications to determine opportunities for optimization and education.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & Responsibilities Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers and payors to gain access to new medication(s); including identifying data request needs and communicating said needs to specialty pharmacy leadership, legal department, compliance department, and Managed Care Contracting department. Communicate with key stakeholders to prepare for medication addition(s) including impacted clinic teams, clinic pharmacist(s), Specialty Pharmacy leadership, Pharmacy Willow Team. Participates in Quarterly Clinical Oversight Committee meetings by presenting Specialty Pharmacy medication list modifications (additions, deletions, etc.) Checks all available means of communication including e-mail, mailbox, and voice mail every shift. Keeps immediate supervisor informed. Participates in medication database management. Supports patient safety systems. Supports Specialty Pharmacy reporting.Skills & Requirements Required bachelor's degree or Ph.D. Pharm. D. degree Required RPH - Pharmacist by the State of Texas The pharmacist in this role shall be a licensed practitioner who holds a valid, unrestricted license to conduct clinical activities.
