Our client's technology is being harnessed and supported through a major University Research partner and the Series ‘A' funding has exceeded all expectations. As the project progresses and we finalize our lab, we need a strong leader who can manage current staff and lead the future growth of our lab and team.

Immediate fast-track opportunity for a Senior Lab Manager in Los Angeles, CA, who possesses:

Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a health-related field such as medical technology, clinical/medical laboratory science, chemical, physical, molecular biology, genetics, biological science, or a related life science field, or equivalent from an accredited institution and 6+ years of experience working in a laboratory with a doctoral level Laboratory Director; OR possess a Master's degree in a health-related field such as medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, or biological science AND 4+ years working in a clinical laboratory with a doctoral level Laboratory Director; OR possess a PhD degree in a health related field such as medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science AND 2+ years working in a clinical laboratory with a doctoral level Laboratory Director Applicable experience in a clinical laboratory with high complexity testing Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) is required Practical, hands-on experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities. Ability to function effectively in a global scientific and cultural arena. Work independently under general supervision. Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies. Proficient in using MS Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Veeva Vault and other relevant tools. Desirable experience with

immunohistochemical

(IHC) staining and use of a microscope. Desirable experience with Design Control, Product Development or Manufacturing around

Medical/Diagnostics

devices. Experience in cancer biology is helpful.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Manage a small team of scientific staff Establishment and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) Identification of deviations to controlled processes and implementation of corrective actions as necessary Ensure proper

documentation/traceability/validation

of testing operations Perform and document instrument and equipment use Equipment procurement, calibration and maintenance Oversee the training and competency of the personnel performing the testing Reporting of test results Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) Monitoring and advocating strategically effective solutions to complex problems and to influence and negotiate solutions across the organization Maintain and manage lab safety program including training of lab staff Position Offers: Base Salary of $150-165K Medical/Dental/Vision PTO/Vacation Time More benefits to be shared upon start If you'd like to explore, send us your resume to
