You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects. In this role you will be working with design teams across the United States and Canada to ensure cohesive designs, schedules stay on track, and within budget, and key deliverables are met! You can expect to support "Get-Work" (proposal) activities, Design and "Build" coordination for Infrastructure Facilities projects. Projects could include Rail/Transit Stations and facilities, Bus Facilities, Aviation Facilities, Cargo buildings, Operations and Control Centers, Maintenance Facilities, and Hydro-power facilities to name a few! ****District Overview**** Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. With top-notch health benefits, a wealth-building 401k plan, and unbeatable growth opportunities, by joining Kiewit, youre ensuring a lifetime of success. ****Location**** This position can be based out of our Canada offices in Burnaby, Laval, or Toronto. ****Responsibilities**** Leads and manage technical teams for assigned design disciplines during a pursuit or final design projects Responsible for completion of project design tasks within engineering disciplines within Kiewit and with third party design teams, in accordance with project design criteria and project management plans Ensures Kiewit's Standard Operating Procedures are communicated and followed Controls cost of the design and all engineering services Manages quantities and constructability throughout the design process for assigned design discipline Has the flexibility to work within multiple design discipline Monitors and reports progress against design schedule Partners with design discipline lead and construction estimator/superintendent to meet project objectives Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development Design quality management plan champion for the engineering design team Develop project budgets, schedules and staffing plans for KIE final design projects ****Qualifications**** Bachelors degree or greater in Architecture, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on transportation; Architecture preferred Licensed Professional Engineer with ability to obtain in other states as the project may require. 10+ years of directly related experience in delivery of design-build and/or P3 projects in both the pre- and post-award phases. At least five of these years in the Project Manager/Design Manager position with project management responsibility on large complex multidisciplinary projects. Prior work experience on transportation project valuing $100M+ Proven experience in infrastructure facilities; and experience in delivery of projects in other transportation service sectors (rail & transit, aviation and ports) is desired. 5 or more years of managing a design team of at least 5 or more **Must be bilingual in English and French** Strong organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communications skills Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment The ability to travel when required **Additional Requirements:** * Absent an approved exemption, due to federal, state, local, provincial and/or client-requirements, **this position requires an individual to be fully vaccinated by a Health Canada-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine** upon hire and as a condition of continued employment. *We believe in equal opportunity in employment practices without discrimination and comply with all laws regarding human rights in the provinces where we operate.* Theres no limit to what youll work on at Kiewit.
