POSITION: Project Manager (cross-functional projects)

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (partial remote)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to own and manage critical, high-impact cross-functional projects that require collaboration from multiple teams. This role will be responsible for the completion of projects on-time and on-quality and have the opportunity to work with all departments of the company, including product development and production, merchandising, operations, customer service, and technology. This high-visibility and mission-critical role will execute strategic and operational projects of various nature. We’re looking for a highly organized individual, who excels at creating and managing timelines and tasks using systems (like Google Sheets and Asana). They must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a tenacious problem solving attitude and they must be willing to get their hands dirty and work closely with cross-functional partners and get deliverables done in order to achieve overall project success.

Scope Of Responsibilities

Serve as the owner responsible for the success of the cross-functional projects that executive leadership has identified as the top priorities, including . Example projects include: product transition (fit and fabric change), product phase out, pricing update; process development, improvement, documentation, and rollout; and implementation of other initiatives that originate from the strategy team. Be able to multitask and pivot between multiple projects in flight simultaneously. Responsible for establishing timelines for new projects from ideation to launch across multiple departments, including dependencies / predecessors, owners, milestones, deadlines, and durations. Hold cross-functional stakeholders accountable for project deliverables so projects remain on timeline. Clearly communicate project status and risks to the project and leadership team in a succinct and actionable way on a regular basis to drive project visibility. Identify roadblocks and delays as they emerge, proactively mitigate them by suggesting workaround options, hold discussions with cross-functional stakeholders, and identify a path forward that presents the least risk to the project cost, timeline, and quality. Effectively facilitate ad hoc and recurring meetings with key stakeholders to gain alignment and decision making in a time-efficient manner, ensuring that meetings are effectively run and produce or drive towards project deliverables. Perform basic analysis in partnership with the analytics team to aid in the project management Able to manage a variety of different projects simultaneously Perform project post-mortems to gather learnings and future improvement opportunities.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required

Experience / Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of work experience Minimum 2 years of consumer products experience, ideally in DTC or eCommerce Minimum 2 years of startup experience Minimum 2 years of project management experience Quick learner, loves diving into new subject matters, and able to quickly understand how various business functions work together to achieve objectives Proficient with timeline management tools (Google Sheets, Asana, SmartSheet, etc.) Organized and loves processes and efficiency Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time while holding cross-functional partners accountable Assertive personality and effective, clear, and succinct verbal and written communicator who can flex between friendly and firm as needed Optimistic person who loves working with people and gains energy from interacting with and collaborating with people Exceptional and organized meeting owner and facilitator who can generate informative and clear emails, meeting agendas and recaps, presentations, and reminders Comfortable identifying risks and issues – confronting them head-on, dissecting them, and resolving them Someone who feels a tremendous sense of responsibility and commitment in getting projects across the finish line – on-time, on-quality, on-budget, all while enabling project participants to be effective and motivated Hard working, tenacious, and willing to roll sleeves up - no job is too big or too small You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, fluid environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to lead projects Resourceful and scrappy - can figure out solutions to novel problems independently Embraces challenges as growth opportunities and loves problem solving; able to troubleshoot and/or escalate issues effectively Most days are remote work. Open to working in the Los Angeles office 1-2 days a week if needed for specific projects.
