POSITION PURPOSE
:
This is a
full-time, exempt
position that will be reporting to the
Senior Associate, Accounts Payable.
This individual will be responsible for assisting Key Capture Energy’s Senior Associate, Accounts Payable in the financial processing of transactions for the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices
Maintain account ledgers by verifying and posting transactions
Reconcile monthly vendor account statements and related transactions
Maintain numerous vendor accounts in compliance with company policies and procedures
Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing partners/vendors/suppliers
Facilitate payment of vendors, including verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies
Reviews and approve employee expense reports for payment
Supports sales tax reimbursement process
Reviews and process 1099 forms
Reviews purchase orders (“POs”) for accuracy and supports appropriate coding and submission of purchase orders
Liaises with various teams regarding AP related issues
All other duties as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma. Associate degree in Accounting preferred
2-3 years experience with accounts payable or general accounting
Proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite and Microsoft Office preferred
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple, high-stakes projects
Proven experience delivering time-sensitive projects on-time and on-quality
Ability to work in a small team
