Reporting to :

VP Marketing – Megabit Publishing

Responsibilities

Community Strategy/Management:

Work with our teams to develop and implement a comprehensive community strategy that makes us the best community to be part of.

Community Building:

Ensure that we are Identifying, engaging with, retaining, and rallying our most dedicated fans to create a passionate and active gaming community in the right places.

Community Voice:

Ensure that the team is the voice of the gaming community within the company, including managing social media accounts, participating in forums, conducting community playtests, and representing the brand at live events.

Data-Driven Insights:

Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of community initiatives.

Social Media:

Loves working with creators and building global networks, obsesses over social media channels algorithms and has a creative content creation passion that can help bring fun and innovative content ideas to life.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, PR, bus dev and operations to align community efforts.

Crisis Management:

Deal with crisis communications within the community when necessary, maintaining transparency and trust.

Reporting:

Creating and distributing insightful reports that track community sentiment, providing actionable insights/recommendations to inform decision-making.

Partnerships:

Actively seek collaborations and partnerships with fan sites, influencers/creators, and ways/other stakeholders to promote and grow our gaming communities.

Qualifications

Excited to work in a startup atmosphere and get hands dirty to get things done, embedded in the development team but working closely with marketing and all other appropriate functions.

Proven experience in video game community management role either in Indie or AA/AAA, including experience with Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Live Streams, Influencers and Steam Forums.

Must have experience running and setting up playtests and funneling results and recommendations back to the development team.

Loves games and has good industry knowledge.

Problem solver and always looking for the edge.

Extremely familiar with social media tracking tools.

Well organized processes and delivers on deadline.

Awesome copywriting skills and enjoys being the visible figurehead for the community.

Pay Transparency This is a full-time, remote working role, with competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits available anywhere in the United States. All team members may be asked to occasionally travel for key meetings, as part of their job responsibilities. We're required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances of each case, but a reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000.

Salary range bands are reviewed and updated annually via OtherSide Entertainment to provide transparency to the expected base salary ranges. Your recruiter will share more details about bonus and LTI for this role in your screening or throughout your interview process as it becomes available. Final compensation determinations are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances of each case and will take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, qualifications, accomplishments, experience, credentials, and business needs.
