The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background,excellent communication skills, and be a team player.Key Responsibilities:•Supervise the nursingstaff and ensure all residents receive the highest quality of care•Provide guidance andsupport to the nursing team and ensure they have the necessary resources toperform their duties effectively•Collaborate with theinterdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care plans are developed andimplemented•Conduct regular roundsto assess the quality of care being provided to residents•Monitor and ensurecompliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards of practice•Assist in therecruitment, selection, and retention of nursing staff•Develop and implementpolicies and procedures that promote safe and effective nursing care•Participate in thedevelopment and implementation of quality improvement initiatives•Conduct performanceevaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff•Participate ininterdisciplinary meetings to discuss and evaluate resident care plans andprogressQualifications:•Current RN license ingood standing•Minimum of 3 years ofclinical experience in a long-term care setting•Previous supervisoryexperience preferred•Excellentcommunication, leadership, and problem-solving skills•Knowledge of federal,state, and local regulations governing nursing practice•Strong clinicalassessment and critical thinking skills•Ability to workcollaboratively with an interdisciplinary team•Strong organizationaland time-management skills•CPR certificationrequiredPhysical Demands:The Nursing Supervisormust be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move intermittently throughout theworkday. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assistwith resident transfers as needed.Working Conditions:The Nursing Supervisorwill work primarily in a clinical setting within a skilled nursing facility.The position requires working some weekends and holidays, as well as beingon-call as needed.
