Reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is the primary driver for establishing and monitoring proper inventory levels for the business. Works with Sales, Marketing, Sourcing and others in the materials function; takes a lead role in reviewing forecasts, lead time movements, sales variations and special programs to determine the proper finished good inventory levels. Key individual for tracking and reporting on key business metrics like inventory cost, inventory turns and customer fulfillment.Work Activities•Provides reporting and data processing support to drive improved control over inventory and develops thorough the understanding of inventory control and sourcing processes being followed in our office and 3PL warehouse service providers. •Works with all Supply Chain functions to develop, test, and implement new reporting, control systems, and processes.•Tracks and reports on the effects of changes in lead times on operations and inventory by identifying inventory turns, lead times, slow moving and obsolete inventory levels. •Effectively communicates and develops rapport with other departments (sales and marketing), working towards ongoing improvement of forecasting accuracy.•Participates in regular planning reviews and prepares data/reports pertaining to inventory central for reviews by playing key role in reporting key metrics and participating in root cause and corrective actions required to achieve organizations goals.•Develops/maintains all inventory analytics; standard operating procedures for all 3 PL warehouse and sourcing functions; and third party logistics (3PL) analytics.•Performs other duties as assigned.Physical DemandsSits frequently.Education and ExperienceYears of Experience 2-3 years of planning, forecasting or other supply chain experience.Education Bachelor's DegreeDegree or Formal Training BS/BA in Statistics, Economics, Business Operations, or Supply Chain/Logistic required.Additional Information APICS certification preferred or pursuing certification.Basic Skills•Critical ThinkingUsing logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.Social Skills•CoordinationAdjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Complex Problem-Solving Skills•Complex Problem SolvingIdentifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Desktop Computer Skills•DatabasesUsing a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.•PresentationsNavigating the Internet to find information, including the ability to open and configure standard browsers; use searches, hypertext references, and transfer protocols; and send and retrieve electronic mail (e-mail).•SpreadsheetsUsing a computer application to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; and create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs.Specific Knowledge:•Demand planning/forecasting/supply chain experience, managing a demand plan for 1,000+ SKUs.•High level of Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, etc.); spreadsheet creation and analysis, using common and sometimes complex formulas, is necessary, including the skills to develop charts and reports.•Experience with Business Intelligence systems (i.e., Tableau, IBP, or others) is a plus.•High level of systems and database tools proficiency (forecasting tools, ERP planning applications, MS Access, SQL Database, etc.).•Experience with Statistics and Forecasting models and packages is preferred.•Good presentation skills: ability to convey complex information clearly and succinctly at an executive summary level.•Experience with Microsoft specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel is a plus. •Ability to accomplish assigned projects utilizing strong communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.•Streamline processes through necessary skill sets.Required•English Language•Computers and Electronics•Regular, timely attendance.•Strong ability to work well in a variety of team environments.•Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines.•Ability to focus on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.•Ability to provide service with integrity and confidentiality.Salary Range: $66,560 - $75,000 annually#PL#LI-LM1
