Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities We are looking for a Project Manager with an environmental consulting background. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple small to medium sized projects, understand their scope and the key drivers to client satisfaction. Importantly, this candidate will learn and execute the Worley Project Management Process for project success. You will be reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with various project teams, project controllers, billers and accountants. The position is ideally located in Houston and able to work within the office, however other candidates will be considered if the fit is right.
As our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role, your responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:
- Responsible for supporting a portfolio of projects.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining positive and effective client relationships.
- To lead an integrated multi-disciplinary team of Worley Consulting personnel for the supply of Environmental services in accordance with agreed business requirements.
- To provide strong HSE leadership.
- To ensure clear agreement of client objectives, and that these are met or exceeded.
- Establish consistent operations and work execution for the client.
- To achieve or better the budgeted gross margin and EBIT using continuous improvement principles, as well as strive to grow the project portfolio on a long term basis.
- To implement robust change management procedures.
- To apply consistent operational metrics and management practices within the client team.
- Support the implementation and execution of all work according to the project/contract requirements.
- A bachelor's degree in environmental consulting, environmental engineering or related discipline.
- 8+ years of project management experience in environmental consulting.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a professional or PMP designation.
- Experience in mid to large scale projects.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
