JOB DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Manager Nurse is responsible for supervising the day-to-day shift operations in the Telemetry Department. They manage human resources at the unit level in a hospital or clinical setting. They promptly investigate and resolve complaints from patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, advising management/administration appropriately. Clinical managers oversee patient care, make management and budgetary decisions, set work schedules, coordinate meetings, and make personnel decisions. They also recruit and train nurses and other health care professionals and maintain a facility's records, and patient health information for treatment purposes only.

New hires may be eligible for a hiring bonus of up to $12,000+

DUTIES

  • Provides leadership of the telemetry staff related to the care of the Telemetry, stroke, and bariatric patients and associated interventional cardiology protocols patient and medication.
  • Obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth development.
  • Understands the range of treatment needed as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Participates in the management of human resources through assisting, evaluation, counseling, and hiring of staff.
  • Assists and edits payroll reports.
  • Create goals and objectives of the Orthopedic surgery department or facility and make sure they are met by the staff.
  • Communicate with staff and department heads.
  • Keep and organize records of the facility.
  • Recruit and train nurses and other health professionals.
  • Create work schedules for nurses.
  • Ensure the facility they work in is compliant with current laws.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients.
  • Solve any problems patients might have at the facility.
  • Utilize PI philosophy in developing strategic directions and integrating PI into daily operations.
  • And other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
  • A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A valid unencumbered RN license for the State
  • Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
  • Must have at least a minimum of 3 years of recent and relevant consecutive acute clinical care experience in this specialty.
  • Must have an NIHSS- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification.
  • Must have the ability to possess a successful EKG test within 30 days of the hire date.
  • High-level interpersonal leadership skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
  • Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills.
  • The appropriate license to work in this state/county.
  • Fluent in English.

COMPENSATION
  • 94,000-152,000 USD Annually
