Title: Construction Project Manager - 629 Post St.
Reports to: Deputy Director of Residential Programs
Dept: Housing
FSLA: Non-Exempt

Location: 629 Post Street, San Francisco, CA

Employment Type: Non-Exempt

Work schedule: 20 hours per week

Salary: $50-55 per hour (for 20 hours of work per week)

Summary: With the direction and support of the Deputy Director of Residential Programs, 629 Post Construction Project Manager is responsible for oversight of the renovations and construction at 629 Post Street. 629 Post is a building that was purchased by Swords to Plowshares for renovation of the upper floors comprising 62 units of affordable housing for homeless and formerly homeless veterans and construction of offices and community space in the basement area for program operations. Duties of this position include coordination with the architect, engineers and General Contractor to complete the renovations of residential units at 629 Post for current transitional and permanent residents of the Fairfax Hotel.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include but may are not limited to:

•Makes sure project is aligned with agreed-upon plans internally approved by STP.
•Assures that project adheres to the budget, schedule timeline, and quality control plan.
•Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists to see 629 Post to completion.
•Communicates regular updates internally with STP supervisors on progress and issues for resolution
•Other duties as directed by the Deputy Director of Residential Programs.

Construction Project Manager Qualifications and Skills:

•Knows how to read and interpret reports delivered via construction project management software.
•Builds strong relationships with project team, including architects, engineers, contractor representatives, and City of SF funders, clients, contractors, and construction workers.
•Excels at organization, time-management, problem-solving, communication and budgeting.

Requirements include
•Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication, conflict resolution, and quality assurance..
•Effective time management skills
•Analytical and organizational ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to use general office software such as word processing, email and preparation of spreadsheets.
•Valid Driver's License
•Employees must be able to carry out the essential duties of the position within what can be considered reasonable accommodation.
