A health services network in Westchester County is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff as their new Director of Nursing - Psychiatry. In this role, the Director of Nursing (RN) - Psychiatry will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of nursing practices for the Department of Psychiatry to ensure high quality, effective patient care and effective use of labor and non-labor resources. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 9am to 6pm Setting: Inpatient Responsibilities: The Director of Nursing will be responsible for: Overseeing the development of short- and long-term goals and objectives for the department in collaboration with members of the medical, administrative and patient services leadership Establishing integrated philosophies and practices and developing programs in support of the organization's goals and objectives Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards for patient services and monitoring reporting units for compliance Selecting and developing effective leadership teams of clinical managers and professional staff Overseeing the departmental operating, capital and program budgets, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines. In addition, you will: Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: Previous experience in an Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and/or similar role Bachelor's Degree in Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) Strong background in a Psychiatric setting Desired Skills: Master's Degree Previous experience in a Psychiatric setting as an Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and/or similar role
