Candidates must have experience in a Formal Structured IT PM Enterprise setting some of the requirements may include taking meeting minutes, documentation, driving meetings, holding other parties accountable, creating presentations, etc. General Description: The IT PMO Senior Project/ Program Manager will be responsible for managing multiple IT project assignments as approved by the Demand and Portfolio Management teams at BD. Project/ Program assignments may include IT infrastructure or applications focused projects/ programs. This position will be handling multiple projects/ programs with high visibility and will be reporting to and working very closely with the IT PMO Manager in Franklin Lakes NJ. The IT PMO Senior Project/ Program Manager will be responsible for directing IT projects/ programs, including establishing project governance, communication, project monitoring & control as well as ensuring alignment with defined IT Compliance (Validation) and Quality Regulatory procedures. The IT PMO Senior Project/ Program Manager will review and confirm project objectives, identify, assess & manage risks and issues, and align leadership support. Ability to be “agile” in their efforts is essential. This position will also command an excellent business and management background. This will help when pulling together the appropriate teams to support changes/projects/ programs and ultimately help drive the project through to fruition. ·

Position is located in the BD Corporate Headquarters in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Position requires the candidate to be on site Monday to Friday. ·

Domestic travel may be required (less than 10%). ·

12 month contract. Job Description: ·

Provide Project/ Program Management for 2- 5 IT projects/ programs/ programs (Applications and Infrastructure). Number of projects/ programs assigned will be based on size, duration and complexity. ·

Manage projects/ programs from inception to completion. ·

Utilize processes and tools within the IT PMO to track project/ program spend, including approved budgets, actuals and forecasts. ·

Manage schedules, budget, resources and timelines surrounding multi-million dollar projects/ programs. ·

Maintain senior leader / stakeholder alignment to IT projects/ programs. ·

Responsible for compliance to applicable IT processes and procedures and ensuring that projects/ programs which include validated systems adhere to applicable system validation requirements. ·

Align projects/ programs with Release cycle schedules. Has good understanding of Change Management. ·

Maintain processes and tools within the IT PMO to track project/ program status, including utilization of defined criteria to assess overall project health. ·

Provide Subject Matter Expertise to collaborate with IT L2/L3 Leaders on processes and tools used for Program Portfolio Management and Project/ Program Execution. ·

Facilitate meetings and coordinate resources to ensure successful projects/ programs. ·

Develop, prioritize and track action items and issues, document all necessary items as needed. ·

Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, showing tasks, resources, dependencies and status throughout the life of the project/ program, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. ·

Track and follow up on deliverables, escalate to leadership as required. ·

Maintain risk register. ·

Track project/ program interdependencies. ·

Present projects/ programs statuses to executive leadership and CEO- Partner in the development of key communication to the organization, as needed. Required competencies: ·

Facilitation – Ability to facilitate, drive and take control of meetings, workshops, JAD sessions. Facilitate meetings to ensure effectiveness to objectives. Ensure all meetings have clear objectives, process, and deliverables. ·

Energetic, action-oriented, positive approach to problem solving and ability to balance multiple projects/ programs concurrently. Required Qualification and Experience: ·

10- 15+ years of IT Project/Program Management experience in Infrastructure and Applications. ·

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, IT or similar field of study / work experience. ·

Familiarity with PMBOK. ·

An overall general understanding of large IT operating environments. Networks, Data Centers, Office 365, SDLC/ Waterfall, Release Management, Change Control, Desktop Support, Service Desks. ·

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Sharepoint). ·

Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio. Preferred Qualification and Experience: ·

Master’s degree or MBA. ·

PMP/ PgMP Certification. ·

Experience in a medical/ regulated environment. ·

ServiceNow - Service Integration And Managemnent (SIAM) or similar tools for project life cycle management. IT Program & Project Management manages the execution of programs and projects within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while minimizing risk, and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies. Has advanced understanding of project and program management, PMBOK comprehensive knowledge of project management methodology and SDLC. Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a job family or skill. Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work. Depends on others for instruction, guidance and direction. Develops competence in own area by performing routine work.
