POSITION PURPOSE Reporting to the COO, this role will focus on identifying, pursuing and closing new strategic and tactical business opportunities as well as managing existing partnerships. This role requires identifying and communicating key strategic opportunities to the C-Suite, and translating the highest impact opportunities into revenue-driving outcomes. Leads the Product Management & Business Development team, which is responsible for: Owning the lifecycle of the Electronic Monitoring product lines, including market requirements, specifications, price, and product line profitability. Developing a customer segmentation model and strategic initiatives for each segment/ product line. Leading Corporate & Business development for the Electronic Monitoring business. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Performs market research and competitive analysis for segments & product lines. Leads the evaluation of marketing strategies for products to deliver profitable growth. Develops strategic partnerships with all stakeholders to collect and define product requirements, including sales, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business analysis, software development, manufacturing, customers, customer support and product marketing. Leads EM Voice of Customer initiatives, including developing a clear understanding of needs and strategies to meet requirements. Proactively addresses and responds to customer issues by analyzing and resolving problems efficiently and collaboratively. Visits to customer sites are essential. Develops product development roadmaps, providing direction to engineering and stakeholders on product development scope, deliverables, priorities, timelines, required specifications and release processes. Defines all scope, deliverables, and product timelines. Leads the production of Project Proposals for the AMS executive team, including scope definition and negotiation, cost benefit analysis, ROI, impact analysis and prioritization. Responsible to monitor and track progress on all active projects. Monitor all external and internal customer satisfaction levels. Responsible for planning, budgeting, administering, and completing all established goals related to the product lines. Leads, coordinates, and directs the work of the Product Management & Business Development team to ensure success of the product lines. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or related discipline. MBA preferred but not required. Business Knowledge: Strong knowledge of product management, strategic marketing, and Corporate/ Business Planning & Development. Technical Knowledge: Experience working with both commercial and technical teams to analyze and prioritize market requirements, opportunities, product roadmaps to deliver profitable growth. Experience Required: Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in product management. Minimum 5 years’ experience leading and directing the work of others. Skills/Abilities: Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Suite. A wide degree of initiative, creativity and latitude is required.
