Description

Centurion is proud to be the provider of mental health services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services.

We are currently seeking a full-time Chief Psychiatrist to join our team at Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center located in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Chief Psychiatrist provides the clinical direction needed to meet the behavioral health/psychiatric service delivery requirements of a specific region and works in collaboration with the Statewide Psychiatric Director and the Program Manager. The Chief Psychiatrist supervises psychiatric staff and collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in providing services to patients with psychiatric disorders in correctional facilities within the specified region.

Qualifications

•Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
•Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
•Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain licensure
•Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
•Two (2) years of previous leadership/directorship experience required
•Ability to pass credentialing and background check
