Warehouse Foremen report to a division manager and provide oversight of a division's warehouse and inventory in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.

General Summary: Work will consist of managing the division warehouse.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, perform a variety of duties which may change often. Must use reason and logic. Is directly responsible to monitor and control the division warehouse including, but not limited to the following:

  1. Maintain a harmonious working relationship with all division personnel.
  2. Monitor, control, schedule and balance workload of assigned personnel.
  3. Obtain approval from Manager prior to spending overtime.
  4. Paperwork responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  5. Verify accuracy of description and stock item numbers on all shipments.
  6. Complete receiving reports on all materials delivered to warehouse.
  7. Tool related responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  8. Monitor and charge out all company tools.
  9. Monitor and control tool tags and return of tools needing repair.
  10. Material responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  11. Distribute material.
  12. Keep the warehouse in a neat and organized manner.
  13. Pick up and deliver material.
  14. Receive material.
  15. Provide assistance in the receiving and shipping of material for all division.
  16. Maintain security of warehouse materials.
  17. Monitor and control material returned from job sites.
  18. Monitor and control return of all scrap conduit and wire from jobs.
  19. Maintenance responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  20. Monitor and control yard and building maintenance and advise Manager of any problems.
  21. Monitor and schedule service equipment (forklift, generator, tamps).
  22. Monitor and control the Company's established policies in the areas of, but not limited to:
  23. Substance Abuse Program.
  24. Safety Policy.
  25. Hazard Communication Program.
  26. Quality Assurance Program.
  27. Responsibilities for vehicles include, but are not limited to, the following:
A. Adherence to the established policies concerning vehicle usage.

B. Monitor and control all vehicle related paperwork for assigned vehicles.

C. Additional responsibilities as requested by management.

Position Requirements:

Licenses - Current driver's license.

Certifications - Applicable certifications as required by job conditions or by the company; (fork lift).

Education - High School Graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent Watson training.

Experience - Extensive knowledge of electrical materials and equipment. Required or necessary experience and/or training to assure all aspects of position are performed efficiently and productively while operating in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.

Working Conditions:
  1. Majority of work performed in division warehouse and on division grounds.
  2. Visits to job sites require working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow.
  3. Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Johns).
  4. Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladders.
  5. Wear personal protective equipment as required in Safety Handbook.
  6. Able to work 40 hours per week, overtime as required, night shifts; work out of town if needed.

  12. Operate company vehicles with manual and automatic transmission.
  13. Operate fork lift.
  14. Read and interpret instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, written instructions.
Physical Function:
  1. Hear and see well (either naturally or with correction).
  2. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach over head.
  3. Lift 50 to 100 pounds.
  4. Constantly move on feet.
  5. Climb ladders (all types).
  6. Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder, or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
  7. Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
  8. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers.
