What Sustainable Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. An emerging area is demonstrating how products and solutions support organizations’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) goals. Sustainability Marketing is responsible for strategic oversight of the ESG focus, mainly environmental / sustainability, for the entire global products portfolio, process and policy, and oversight of tactical execution of prioritized opportunities. This role allows the individual to be a critical part of aligning our products to our ESG goals Job Summary The Sustainability Marketing Manager will work with the global upstream marketing, ESG, and the customer research teams to develop a strategic plan for the sustainability of our product portfolio based on global customer, market, and competitive trends. Once developed, this person will work with cross-functional teams, including Sourcing, R&D, and Packaging, to develop and prioritize initiatives to be supported by the organization. This position will also be accountable for developing, maintaining, and improving the processes and associated system(s) needed for creating, validating, and updating sustainability claims that will be used in outward facing collateral. This position will work with the content marketing, global upstream, legal/regulatory, and regional marketing teams for implementing prioritized sustainability efforts to support launches, bids, tenders, and other customer expectations. Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years related work experience preferred Bachelor's degree in related field preferred Exceptional oral and written communication skills Experience working in a regulated environment (i.e. medical, automotive, government) Prior experience in an ESG role a plus Strong understanding and working knowledge of business systems (Upstream and Downstream Marketing, ESG, Sourcing, Content Marketing) Understanding and evidence of employing standard project management tools and approaches PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification preferred Strong influence, facilitation, and problem-solving skills Demonstrated strong planning and organizational skills Accountabilities: Applies advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models Provides solutions which may set precedent Independently determines method for completion of new projects May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues Thinks and acts strategically Has personal courage and is resilient Pay Transparency: Anticipated salary range: $135,000.00 -$145,000.00 Bonus eligible: Yes Benefits: Ca rdinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
