Overview:

Centurion is the leading provider of correctional healthcare nationwide. We are proud to begin our new partnership with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction to provide healthcare services at the newly opened Long-Term Acute Care Unit within the Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh, NC.

We are currently seeking a full-time Palliative Care RN to join our team.

Responsibilities:

The certified Palliative Care RN works under the supervision of the Nurse Administrator/Nurse Supervisor and assesses, plans, and implements care for patients on palliative or hospice care. Clinical care other than palliative/hospice care is also required. The certified Palliative Care RN works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team and prepares and presents educational programming regarding palliative and hospice care to healthcare staff as requested. Adherence to NC DAC and Centurion policy and procedure required.

Qualifications:
  • NC (or compact state) RN license
  • Certification as Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of Full Time RN experience
  • Current CPR
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include a criminal background check
