We are seeking a Manager of Marketing Research to join our dynamic team in Boulder, Colorado. Here’s the scoop - Summary As the Marketing Research Manager, you will have global responsibilities (current focus is China & EMEA; however, will likely expand over time), focusing on syndicated data sources like Nielsen and Numerator. In addition, you will lead and manage custom qualitative and quantitative research initiatives to support our strategic objectives within the pet food sector, serving both of our premium pet food brands. This role requires a seasoned professional who can use data-driven insights to help our company gain a competitive edge in the marketplace, with a strong emphasis on innovation. Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Insights, this position will be based out of our corporate head office in Boulder, CO. What a typical day looks like: 1. Syndicated Data Analysis: • Utilize syndicated data sources (such as Nielsen and Numerator) to gather market insights, consumer behavior trends, and competitive intelligence within the premium pet food industry. • Analyze and interpret syndicated data to identify opportunities and threats, making recommendations to senior management. 2. Custom Research Leadership: • Lead the planning, design, and execution of custom qualitative and quantitative research projects across various stakeholder needs: Brand communications, Innovation, Market assessment, etc. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, scope, and methodologies tailored to our industry. • Oversee the operation of research partners and manage the project from start to finish. 3. Data Visualization and Reporting: • Create compelling reports and presentations to communicate research findings effectively to global stakeholders. • Present and drive implementation of research insights to all levels including senior leadership, guiding strategic decision-making. 4. Market Insights and Strategy: • Proactively identify emerging industry trends and consumer preferences in the global pet food sector to inform product development, marketing, and sales strategies for both of our premium pet food brands. Inclusive of helping to set priority guidance for long-term clinical research initiatives. • Collaborate with pet food product development, marketing, and sales teams to integrate research findings into global strategic planning. What are we looking for? • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred. • 5+ years of experience in market research or related field; Pet industry experience is preferred. • Proven experience in leading custom qualitative and quantitative research projects. • Demonstrated experience leveraging syndicated data tools. • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. • Proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools. • Competent experience in eCommerce • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. • Occasional travel to attend conferences, meetings, and research partners' facilities. Compensation and Benefits • Salary Range: Target pay range for this position is $100,000-130,000 USD annually, however base pay offered may vary depending on job related experience and skills. This information is based on anticipated market location (Boulder, CO) • Annual Incentive Eligibility: This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive plan.
