Summary
The Director, Supply Chain Cost Down is responsible for defining and leading the execution of Lancer's supply chain strategy and cost down initiatives. This position partners cross functionally to ensure that critical processes run effectively, the business meets customer needs, and foster a culture of efficient processes.

Essential Functions
•Collaborates with leaders across the Hoshizaki Alliance and Lancer Worldwide to identify and develop needs and requirements for equipment, materials, products, and acceptable substitutions
•Assess current supply chain costs and develop strategies for adopting new materials, standards, and processes to reduce cost
•Assesses current material availability; reasonably predicts future availability based on
the market, delivery systems, and other variables
•Prepares and presents market conditions and merchandise cost reports
•Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management
•Evaluates and approves conditions for issuing and awarding bids
•Resolves grievances with key vendors, contractors, and suppliers
•Acts as the company's representative in negotiations with all suppliers, and when needed, in conjunction with the regional supply chain leader
•Administers the departmental budget for the Purchasing and Materials department
•Responsible of the control of the DOH overall and the strategy to meet the corporate goal
•Analyzing current inventory levels and identifying trends to determine when additional inventory should be ordered for raw materials
•Negotiating pricing with vendors/suppliers based on volume discounts, trade promotions, and other incentives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
•Investigating new materials to determine their suitability for manufacturing products, including determining their strength, durability, and cost effectiveness
•Monitoring the performance of suppliers to ensure that they are meeting quality standards and delivering products on time
•Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and negotiation skills required
•Understanding of business and management principles
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
•Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization
•Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

Education and Experience
•Bachelors' degree required (business concentration preferred)
•Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in purchasing or planning experience in a manufacturing or related environment required
•Minimum of seven (7) years' experience managing people required
