Work with the EMS project buyers, material planner, production control, planning manager, and production team in support of daily production activities including clear to build and planning scenarios

In collaboration with the Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM) team, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply to meet on-time execution of the sustaining production revenue

Manage escalation process between EMS and internal Commodity Managers for PANW controlled suppliers and components. Coordinate cross functional discussions

Implement strategic supply chain programs including VMI, Min/Max, and drive lead-time reduction programs to improve material availability. Coordinate and execute flexibility and buffer strategies defined by planning

Responsible for EOL/LTB management. Mitigate, manage and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory. Partner with cross functional teams in component life cycle management

Audit of EMS purchasing attributes for optimal efficiencies (LT, MOQ/EOQ, ABC, Incoterms, Procurement Method)

Work closely with EMS partner to review and improve supply chain processes and procedures, identifying gaps, and planning solutions to fill those gaps through the implementation of industry best practices

Maintain and provide metrics on EMS performance, execution to commit, on time delivery, materials availability, inventory liabilities and manufacturing operations data. Present executive summary of material metrics and quarterly business reviews (QBR)

In collaboration with cross functional teams, this individual will develop, document, and maintain the Supply Chain Material processes and procedures in support of sustaining Palo Alto Networks products

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA or 4-year degree in related field and7+ years purchasing, material management and supply chain management experience

Experience in Buying/Procurement/Materials/Commodity/Supply Chain

Strong understanding of ERP/MRP, What If Scenarios, Clear to Build

Experience working with Contract Manufacturing / EMS providers

Knowledge of Demand Planning and Supply Plan Commit Process

Detailed understanding of production control and factory floor execution, PCBA and System Integration

Ability to resolve issue and engage with cross functional team members such as manufacturing technical and supply chain team members

Ability to chair a weekly cross functional materials management meeting

Ability to multi-tasking, handle multiple priorities and meet project deadlines

Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail

Strong desire to success and be able to work independently and as part of a team

Creative and analytical approach to problem solving

Lead and motivate towards a “partnership” concept

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

ERP systems, Arena, Agile, SAP, Kinaxis

APICS/NAPM Certification a plus

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
