Your Impact Duties and Responsibilities: Consults with technical staff, consultants, contractors and other agencies to expedite the completion of construction projects for highways, bridges, ramps and/or pedestrian infrastructure projects that meets current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards. Supervises the field inspection of one or more projects including assigning and reviewing the work, training, evaluating work performance and providing technical guidance. Reviews and evaluates construction schedules and recommends adjustments to problems arising during construction. Analyzes potential delays and claims, recommending appropriate action. Schedules and conducts pre-construction and progress meetings. Recommends solutions to problems arising during construction. Utilizes computer and business software packages to prepare correspondence relating to projects, manage project workflow and maintain project records. Performs related work as required. Work effectively with others. Understand and follow instructions. Who You Are Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience in construction management/inspection of highway, bridge, ramp and/or pedestrian infrastructure projects that meets current Americans with Disabilities (ADA) standards. MARTCP Certifications Experience working in Baltimore City DOT preferred OSHA 10 and E&S Certifications Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling and materials. Knowledge of inspection methods. Ability to deal effectively with contractors, engineers, architects and representatives of utility and government agencies. Supervisory and mentoring ability. Working knowledge of state and federal safety, environment guidelines and regulations. Working skill in operating computer equipment, software programs and field inspection equipment; read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with agency, contractor personnel and the public. Dependable transportation is required. Knowledge of field inspection equipment; ability to read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; and maintain detailed records. Valid drivers license. Proficient in Math and English.
