Job Description: Engineering Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee and manage the engineering operations for our clients' facilities, ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of critical systems and equipment. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to drive excellence in engineering operations. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of engineering teams, ensuring the efficient and reliable performance of critical systems and equipment. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop engineering solutions to meet their requirements. Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime, maximize efficiency, and extend equipment lifespan. Develop and manage engineering budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial targets. Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment. Implement energy management initiatives and identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements. Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and escalations, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and timely resolution. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and support capital improvement projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and standards. Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in engineering practices, recommending innovative solutions to enhance facility performance. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering. Professional Engineering certification is preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in building engineering or facility management, with a focus on critical systems and equipment. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Proven track record in leading and managing engineering teams and projects. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and make data-driven decisions. Understanding of safety, regulatory, and industry standards related to building engineering operations. Solid knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and tools. Experience with energy management and sustainable practices in building operations. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation systems (BAS). Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
