ROLE SUMMARY Senior Project Managers (sPM) are accountable for successful execution of one or more projects of moderate to high complexity. This involves managing change projects across functional areas that support the Distribution organization, working closely with senior leaders in Distribution, Marketing, Client Servicing and Reporting, Investment Operations and Technology. The sPM will support components of the overall program portfolio focusing on growth initiatives across APAC (specially Japan)/EMEA. The sPM would be expected to work closely with Japan hence should be flexible with time zones. The sPM is expected to support Program Managers across initiatives on project management processes, best practices, effectively facilitate leaders and cross-functional teams to make decisions, achieve program objectives, manage risks, issues and internal/external dependencies. The sPM will support the program and associated projects/work streams as needed and oversee the execution of work through the entire project management lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, and closeout) per the processes established by the T. Rowe Price Transformation Office (TO) and industry best practices. Successful candidate will have great leadership, organizational, business analysis and influence management skills. Qualified candidates will have experience applying project management processes in a thoughtful way to achieve the best business result. Candidates must have proven experience managing moderate to high complexity projects in the financial industry; have worked closely with multiple business partners to achieve results; and be willing to perform hands-on program/project management. The successful candidate is expected to work for Global Growth Strategy for T Rowe Price's focus markets across APAC and EMEA. The candidate is expected to have prior experience in working with middle office/Operations in the asset management/banking industry. This experience would be used to drive projects aligned to program for Global Operations. Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day project management and delivery by working closely with the projects operating sponsors according to established project methodology and standards Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts. Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria. Responsible for establishing/running the weekly project working group, adhering to the established project governance, and maintaining all project documentation including charter, RAID log, detailed project plan and ensuring all deliverables are signed off as required by the working group. Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects. Conduct analysis meetings with the agreed stakeholders to document requirements, workflows, policies, and procedures. Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered, escalating as required. Continually update relevant business stakeholders of project status and periodically publish project status reports. Ensure all projects meet success parameters and business objectives stated in the business case / charter. Experience Required: Bachelors degree in related field 8+ years strong project management experience Preferred: project management certification (PMP, Prince II etc) Asset Management industry experience, particularly across Distribution, Client Servicing, Client Onboarding, Client Reporting and Technology across international locations. Problem solving skills and being able to work with people across multiple locations. Facilitation of meetings with stakeholders to review and solve key issues. Well organized and self-motivated. Prior work experience on projects related to Japan Technical skills Microsoft office including Visio, PowerPoint. Very good presentation skills particularly to management. Demonstrated ability to motivate people and navigate a complex global working environment. Demonstrated ability to apply excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills to manage a diverse set of stakeholders and leaders. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to present concepts to individuals and large groups. FINRA Requirements FINRA licenses are required and will be supported for this role. Work Flexibility This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
