Job Description

Our IU Health Home Care enteral department is seeking a Registered Dietitian who is driven by purposeful work, compassion, and excellence. This Dietitian promotes services to drive enteral referrals from IU Health University and Methodist hospitals, physician offices and clinics with a focus on Business Unit referral growth and retention. To ensure our patients have a safe transition from the inpatient setting to home- this Dietitian will serve as a liaison between our home care team and referral sources by providing education to hospital Case Management regarding enteral products, home care processes and insurance coverage. This role will also include involvement with caregivers and enteral patients at bedside to inform them of the home care process. Successful engagement of referral sources is accomplished by developing and maintaining relationships, demonstrating expertise, delivering on promises, and by becoming a trusted resource. Additional goals will be to identify opportunities for program growth, participate in the development of market strategies and being able to plan, organize, and implement product line education individualized to provider needs. Dietitians with experience/expertise in tube feedings is preferred for this role.

**This position is primarily an in-person M-F role (based in our downtown Indianapolis hospitals) combined with 1 to 2 days per week working from home. Days working in person at the facility may vary based on patient volumes, patient/caregiver needs, and business needs.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Requires knowledge of health services and clinical needs of targeted patient populations.
  • Requires experience working directly with physicians.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to travel in service area on a regular basis; overnight travel may be required.
  • Sales experience preferred.
