**Description**

As a Ramp Agent, you are required to safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for on-time connections by guiding incoming and departing aircrafts from the gate positions. In addition, it is important to safeguard cargo, baggage and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Additional duties include safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Ramp Agents are required to safely operate sophisticated machinery, work comfortably in extremely loud environment and work at height, in addition to several other strenuous, repetitive lifting tasks that will involve placing baggage in aircraft bins and on transport carts. Tasks require use of computers to read, enter information, and operate baggage scanners as well as assist with record keeping and documentation to ensure baggage and cargo are routed correctly to the passenger's destination. You could also work in the bag room which requires repeatedly lifting and loading baggage onto carts and ensuring each bag reaches its destination. **As a PrimeFlight Ramp Agent, you will:**

* Always maintain safety and security of the ramp and comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, company and carrier policies and procedures.

* Adhere to all safety and security requirements.

* Marshalls aircraft on the ramp including directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircrafts in accordance with safety policy and procedures.

* Performs wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment in the path of pushback and maintains visual contact with the pushback driver to alert the driver of any danger.

* Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts and transfers passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader or baggage carts in a safe manner and within specific time constraints.

* Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gate and aircraft for debris and remove/dispose of when found.

* Reads and verifies the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags.

* Communicates with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel concerning arrival/departure information in a professional manner.

* Drives/operates ramp equipment, including but not limited to bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors and water and lavatory servicing vehicles in a safe manner.

* Services aircraft as needed to include cleaning lavatories and cabin and restocking items.

* Arrives to work on time and at assigned post to ensure prompt servicing of the aircraft and on time departures.

* May work in the baggage make-up area and prioritize baggage load for delivery to the proper aircraft for loading.

* Ensures GSE equipment is in proper working order.

* Other duties as assigned.

**To be a PrimeFlight Ramp Agent you must:**

* Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent.

* Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

* Have authorization to work in Canada.

* Be able to obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 05-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background check.

**As a PrimeFlight Ramp Agent, you must be able to:**

* Lift up to 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis.

* Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.

* Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods and work in confined spaces.

* Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.

* Must be able to work various shifts and days of the week. Airlines are 24/7, so we require our team to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
