About the role:

Staub Electronics is seeking an Inventory / Merchandise Analyst to work in our office in Richmond, BC . In this capacity you will work with our buyers to analyze inventory data and provide recommendations for purchasing and replenishment across all product lines and vendors. You will build and expand on our analytical tools to help support our team make more timely and accurate decisions around what to buy, and when. You will build knowledge of our direct import vendors and products to develop the appropriate purchasing plan that results in adequate inventory coverage and stocking levels. You will learn the full cycle of purchasing from item setup, pricing, demand planning, issuing purchase orders, and closing goods receipts.

What youll do:

* Support buyers with daily, weekly, monthly buying of products through timely and accurate analysis

* Analyze historical demand and future forecasts to support weekly replenishment orders

* Work with vendors to secure accurate and up to date timelines on new and existing product lines

* Review inventory reports to ensure in-stock quantities and KPIs are met

* Review order frequency and forecast and adjust as needed

The skills and abilities you need:

* 2+ years of analyst or buying experience

* The capacity to analyze data and turn the results into a plan of action

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Above average MS Office skills including expert Excel knowledge

* Previous experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP system

* A solid understanding of the AV industry including residential, commercial and automotive segments is a plus

Responsibilities

* Analysis of current inventory levels for demand forecasting purposes

* Support streamlining inventory control and supply chain functions

* Working with buyers, analyze current procedures and optimize for efficiency, cost reduction and greater customer satisfaction

* Support the purchasing team with replenishing inventory

* Develop action plans to effectively manage inventory levels and to optimize inventory stock requirements

* Ensure stock levels and costing are accurate for all inventoried items

* Address inventory issues as they arise; identify root causes to fix

* Enforce inventory management policies and procedures as defined by Merchandise Manage
