As a Clinical Research senior, you're like a jazz composer behind the scenes, tirelessly orchestrating to advance and improve patient care through clinical trials and studies that shape the future of healthcare. You're responsible for the development of protocols, hypotheses, and educational curriculum and coordinating the daily activities of a designated study or group of studies. Maintaining industry relationships and training faculty physicians, residents, medical students, and research staff on good clinical practices, this specialized calling is all about ensuring that our research studies are conducted with the utmost integrity and adhere to regulations, because at LCMC Health, we take pride in doing things the right way.

Your Everyday

Develops scientific protocols and generates hypotheses for research inquiries independently and in collaboration with faculty and trainees.

Creates and implements research education including research topics, lectures, and presentations for residents and faculty.

Drafts research policies with departmental leadership.

Participates on departmental research board to vet proposed projects for feasibility, ethics, and academic rigor.

Uses statistical software to analyze study data and interfaces with statisticians for analysis.

Maintains relationships with pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, and supply companies as needed.

Oversees availability and necessity of equipment for studies.

Guides staff Research Coordinators in the research and clinical study process.

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

Bachelor's degree in clinical research or related field.

5 years of experience in post graduate medical education and medical research studies.
