Qualifications:Active Registered Nurse licensure (in state position is located) requiredBachelor's degree in nursing preferredActive CPR certification requiredActive or ability to obtain Wound Certification and Infection Preventionist Certification requiredOne-year experience working in Geriatric, Long Term Care or Rehab setting requiredOne-year supervisory experience requiredResponsibilities and Expectations:Responsible to perform accurate and timely resident assessment/re-assessments per policy and regulatory standardsTeach the Medication Administration Course and the Review Course to unlicensed personnelAct as main contact for residents and families, assure that professional partnerships are cultivated between residents, family members and staffAssist with maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, objectives and standards of practiceReview and make recommendations related to recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, supervision and corrective action for nursing staffEvaluate job performance of professional staff and review peer evaluations for assigned staffProvide input and direction to the nursing Quality Assurance ProgramConduct regular staff meetings for all shiftsAssist with medical record supervisionMonitor resident census reportsAssist with licensure and certification trackingMaintain budgetary control of supply inventory, cost containment and staffingPromote and support culture of patient centered care and serviceCollaborate with Director of Nursing regarding resident concerns or changes in conditionPresbyterian Senior Living is a not-for-profit organization comprised of a variety of locations, services and levels of care.
