We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager with a strong background in managing warehouse construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of construction processes, logistics, and safety protocols specific to warehouse facilities. This role requires the ability to oversee projects in the Lehigh Valley area with occasional visits to job sites in Newark, NJ.

Description

  1. Project Planning and Management:

    • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets for warehouse construction projects.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate issues and ensure on-time completion.
  2. Budget and Cost Management:

    • Prepare detailed project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor project expenses, track costs, and identify opportunities to optimize project spending while maintaining quality standards.
  3. Site Supervision and Quality Control:

    • Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities, ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, and address any quality concerns.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements at all times.
  4. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, and other relevant records.
    • Prepare regular progress reports, financial summaries, and other project-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Profile

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on warehouse projects.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse construction projects from inception to completion.
  4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices specific to warehouse facilities.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  7. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  8. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
  9. Flexibility to travel to job sites in Newark, NJ as needed.
