This is a traveling position as a District Manager within food service operations for higher education accounts in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and you should be based in one of those states. You will provide operational support to new and existing Chartwells Higher Education accounts in the Minnesota and Wisconsin. Travel expenses are covered and include a company vehicle. Depending on your location, travel will mostly be during the day but some overnight travel is required for success in the role.While leading cross-functional teams, you will provide overall planning and direction to achieve operations and financial goals, align with all applicable regulations, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure we continuously support the communities we serve. The selected candidate, must be innovative, talent driven, and manage our offerings to clients by creating partnerships that result in a mutually rewarding experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with clientDrives and develops self and team towards building positive relationships with client(s) and achievement of critical metrics (profitability, safety, engagement, etc.) Utilizes Chartwell's tools and programs to develop client, customer and staff relationships and ensure account retentionDevelops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support the client and Chartwell's strategic planEnsures compliance with regional, state, and local policies governing meal and retail programs, along with safety and QA requirements; conducts audits and offers solutions for improvement Supports financial results and works with leadership to ensure financial accuracy in reporting, forecasting and budgetingQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years progressive experience in multi-unit food service, hospitality management, plant operations management, environmental services, laundry, or other Support Services areas in lieu of degree. Strong background in a leadership role with exposure to contract/budget management, customer service, people development, food services, negotiations, etc.Consistent track record and knowledge of growing a business, along with proven business and financial proficiencies. Shows expert client relationship, influencing, presentation, listening, and communications (written and verbal) skills.
