We are builders at heart, working to ensure the builtenvironment has a lasting positive impact. \| Let\'s Redefine PossibleMortenson is looking for a Senior Safety Manager who will providemanagement, leadership, direction, and support within Mortenson\'s ZeroInjury Safety program for multiple project teams and construction sites.RESPONSIBILITIES Plan, lead and manage the implementation of delegatedZero Injury Safety Program elements and initiatives throughout theoperating group. Lead and support safety program collaboration acrossmultiple different organizations, such as trade partners andjoint-venture partners. Support company level initiatives through directeffort contribution. Take safety leadership for specific region orspecialty operation within operating group, acting as a partner tooperating group safety director Conduct and review site hazardassessments with project management during planning and constructionphases. Develop operating group specific safety orientation content foruse across projects. Identify training needs, develop, schedule, andconduct safety training, including train-the-trainer sessions. Develop,implement, and lead group and project training and orientation. Overseeproject documentation, tracking and analysis of all Safety, Injury andHazard statistics, trend analyses, and OSHA reports. Direct and leadproject management in development and follow through on improvementaction plans as necessary. Monitor onsite construction activitiesthrough audits and observations. Document deficiencies and correctiveactions. Audit, assess and report on group-wide execution of leadingperformance deliverables. Lead incident reporting, investigation, andanalysis. Coach safety managers in high-risk plan review Collaboratewith Risk Management department Review project work plans to ensuresafety is adequately incorporated. Participate in and contribute toproject planning and hazard analysis. Provide professional direction andmentorship to Safety staff. Mentor operating group safety engineers andmanagers, work with managers to provide development opportunities,delegate assignments in order to further growth, host development andlearning sessions for safety and others in the operating group Takesafety leadership for specific region or specialty operation withinoperating group, acting as a partner to operating group safety directorProvide technical assistance to project teams, senior executiveleadership and safety engineers. Maintain operational knowledge ofconstruction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards,regulations, and procedures.
