WHERE YOU WILL WORK

This is a hybrid position, working from home Monday and Friday, in-office Tuesday through Thursday.Office is located at our headquarters in Lake Nona - Orlando, FL.Regular schedule is 8am to 5pm daily.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

At The Ames Companies the Associate Product Manager (APM) is the "Robin" to a Product Manager's "Batman".
Associate Product Managers must have worked with tangible consumer products and will conduct competitive research, gather quantitative Product data, and analyze retailer research to support Product Managers in their role. The APM will assist the Product Manager in managing the new product development stage gate process and work with the cross-functional team for next steps and follow-up action items.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product sales performance, analyze metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging innovations in the product category.
  • Assist in defining product strategy and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including industrial designers, engineers, and the sourcing team, to ensure the product meets business requirements and user needs.
  • Assist in the creation of product prototypes and conduct user testing to validate assumptions.
  • Assist in the development of product launch plans, and the go-to-market strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 Years' experience in product management, project management for consumer-packaged goods. Must have worked with a tangible products.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools - Knowledge of MS Excel is a must-have.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and prioritization.
  • Open to learning and taking ownership of product categories over time.

Some travel required, as needed.

Physical demands

This position is located primarily in an office environment. At times the associate is required to sit for long periods of time.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate may need the ability to lift and carry loads up to 30 pounds.

Upon occasion, the associate may be exposed to a manufacturing environment and required to wear personal protective equipment.
