Productivity Engineering’s mission is to give every engineer the best possible user experience in the entire software development life cycle from start to finish. As the leader of Productivity Engineering, you must be intimately familiar with large-scale software development and all aspects of the SDLC. You will interact with strong technical leaders across the entire company. This role demands a passionate leader with excellent collaboration and effective communication skills. This role provides a considerable opportunity for ingenuity, as this individual will work as a key leader of an exceptionally talented team, to deliver cutting-edge innovation at a massive scale and reliability. We are looking for an independent thinker who makes convincing, evidence-based decisions. The ideal candidate will devise and implement clear roadmaps to continually raise engineering productivity. As a leader, this individual is comfortable thinking strategically and diving deep to identify opportunities and leverage the team to translate them into live solutions. Responsibilities: Lead the Infrastructure and Tooling strategy while balancing a wide variety of projects and engagements. Evaluate and measure engineering processes, systems and tools to support continuous improvement and innovation in Cohesity’s journey into the Cloud. Build, grow and retain talent and continually find ways to inspire and challenge the engineering organization. Build cross-functional partnerships, and engage with internal engineering teams to identify areas of improvement in productivity, production quality and coverage issues, and provide insight on improving them through scale and automation. Own new hire onboarding for all engineers collaborating with all engineering organizations. Own tools, monitoring, measurements, documentation and process which will help engineers reduce time wasted, increase collaboration and sharing of knowledge Bring a passion to stay on top of technology trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology groups, and mentor other members of the engineering community. Required qualifications: 8+ years of experience in a large-scale software development organization as a Senior Engineering Leader managing a team of engineers. You have a broad enterprise technology background and have deep experience leading collaboration in a global, extremely fast paced engineering organization. Intimate knowledge of each key function in the SDLC and experience leading CI/CD in a cloud environment. Experience in managing internal infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed computing infrastructure is a huge advantage. Familiarity with deployment and provisioning tools Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to get things done by proactively anticipating challenges and handling ambiguity with confidence and ease. Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. US Pay Range $229,408—$290,000 USD
